The Samaritan

Who is your neighbor?
Jesus flips our assumptions in the Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). We want to be the hero showing mercy—but what if we're the one beaten and broken on the roadside? What if the person we least expect, maybe even despise, is the one God sends to save us?
The truth cuts deep: we all have people we'd rather not help. Political opponents. That annoying coworker. People who've hurt us. But Christ didn't die for people who loved Him—He died for those who rejected Him. For you. For me.
Love isn't just caring for the easy ones. Love breaks us open, sacrifices everything, and serves even our enemies. Because that's exactly what Jesus did on the cross. Go and do the same.
